Only two weeks later, that estimate has risen \u201cnorth of $400 million,\u201d says Louisiana Rep. Ralph Abraham.\nWith Congress out of session until after November elections where does federal disaster relief funding stand?\n\u201cThe Senate finally agreed on a continuing resolution (CR),\u201d said Abraham on Monday (October 3). \u201cThey had to get funding to address zika and military construction in that.\n\u201cThe House got the CR about midday on Wednesday (September 28) and we passed it about 9 p.m. So, the CR is done through December 8. That means once we\u2019re back in session after Thanksgiving we\u2019ll have to pick (the budget) back up.\n\u201cBy then, of course, we\u2019ll have new members of Congress and new President. He or she will determine how we go forward with the budget process.
