Allen (GA-12) hosted a special signing day ceremony for students in Georgia's 12th District who have been accepted into one of our nation's Military Service Academies.\n\nThese academies include: The United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York; the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, Maryland; the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) in New London, Connecticut; the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) in Kings Point, New York; and the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.\n\nDuring the event, Congressman Allen recognized several Georgia-12 students whose respective service academy nominations he sponsored. Congressman Allen also presented each student with a signed copy of the Congressional Record marking the occasion.\n\nGeorgia-12 students participating in the signing day event included:\n\nTyler Swoope, Academy of Richmond County, offered and accepted a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy\n\nGregory Tegang, Grovetown High School, offered and accepted a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy (also received an offer of appointment to the USNA)\n\nBryce Reynierson, Augusta Christian Schools/Naval Academy Prep School, offered and accepted a nomination to the United States Naval Academy\n\nRobby Saballa, Harlem High School, offered and accepted a nomination to the United States Merchant Marine Academy\n\nCcChase Faamausili, Greenbrier High School, offered and accepted a nomination to the United States Naval Academy (also received an offer of appointment to the USMMA)\n\nGeorgia-12 student unable to attend signing day:\n\nLila Jun, Greenbrier High School, offered and accepted a nomination to the United States Military Academy", 1, "2026-06-13T06:32:19Z", "2026-06-13T06:34:27Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://allen.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=7277"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 2.353901043534279, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
