On Veterans Day, we thank all of those who have served.\u201d\n\nBackground\n\nCongressman Amo is committed to supporting Rhode Island\u2019s Veterans.\n\nOn September 14, 2025, Amo hosted his second annual Veterans Barbecue and Resource Fair.\n\nOn July 3, 2025, Amo voted no on Trump\u2019s Big, Ugly Law, which gutted SNAP, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act. An estimated 3,000 Rhode Island Veterans received SNAP between 2021 and 2023.
