The IRA Technical Assistance Summit was hosted by the State of Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources, Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, Climate Jobs RI, CompeteRI, and the Partnership for Rhode Island.\n\nAt the first meeting of the District Climate Policy Advisory Committee, there was widespread agreement that more information was needed about \u201cDirect Pay,\u201d an innovative tool that allows tax-exempt entities \u2014 from local governments and municipalities to education, faith, and community groups \u2014 to receive credits directly in the form of cash payments to deploy renewable energy initiatives. David Eichenthal currently leads the Treasury Department\u2019s engagement with state and local governments on the IRA tax credit issues\n\n\u201cTechnical assistance is an often overlooked, but critically important, part of helping organizations engage with the federal government.
