Austin Scott: Exciting New Missions Coming to Robins AFB", "2021-05-28", "2021", "2021-05", "Republican", "House", "GA", "Austin Scott", "S001189", "austinscott.house.gov", "austinscott", "https://austinscott.house.gov/press-releases", "scraper", "WARNER ROBINS, GA \u2013 Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) released the below statement upon the U.S. Air Force today announcing new missions coming to Robins Air Force Base.\n\n\u201cThe men and women at Robins Air Force Base provide critical capabilities that counter our adversaries \u2013 such as China, Russia and Iran \u2013 and help our nation compete and win against the next generation of threats,\u201d said Rep. Scott. \u201cThese new missions are a direct result of their outstanding work and service to our country. They will continue to build upon this important work in flying and non-flying Active Duty and Guard units and will position Robins \u2013 and Georgia \u2013 at the forefront of addressing our country\u2019s key national security concerns.\u201d\n\nThe new missions coming to Robins include:\n\nAir Control Squadron \u2013 The Georgia Air National Guard will lead a unit whose day-to-day mission will be to provide command and control of aircraft in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central and South Asia.\n\nJADC2/ABMS - The Air Force is building multiple facilities on Robins to support the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2)/ Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) enterprise. New construction will facilitate the replacement of the JSTARS mission and will also support future platforms associated with the ABMS Family of Systems. Facilities will be designed to support a variety of airframes, to include manned and unmanned aircraft.\n\nE-11 \u2013 Nine E-11 Battlefield Airborne Control Node (BACN) aircraft and a squadron of Active Duty personnel will execute a mission with a very high ops tempo, enabling communications support to the joint force on the modern battlefield.\n\nSpectrum Warfare Group \u2013 A Group of Squadrons, comprised of Active Duty Airmen, will take advantage of the skills prominent in local Macon/Atlanta area, namely software and hardware engineers.
