Cindy Axne (IA-03) to encourage K-12 schools to have trained personnel in asthma and allergy management and emergency response. \nTheSchool-Based Allergies and Asthma Management Program Actwill help provideasthma and allergy grants from the Department of Health and Human Services to train school administrativestaffand school nurses in the use ofemergency medications to treat asthma and anaphylaxis.\nIowa parents who are sending their children into classrooms with peanuts, mold, and countless other triggers for allergies and asthma should haveconfidencethat someone on staff knows how to handle that kind of medical emergency.said Rep.
