That isn’t success to my constituents, and I voted against this bill.

“Instead, it is time for Congress to deal with the real root causes of our economic woes by reforming and cutting spending and lifting the heavy hand of regulation weighing down what could otherwise be a flourishing and competitive economy for all. Congress needs to focus on oversight of Federal agencies run amok instead of hiring more revenue agents to squeeze even more tax dollars out of hardworking Americans.

“I look forward to Congress focusing on these real issues soon.”", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-08T02:59:24Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://baird.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=262
