I\u2019m proud to have played a role in promoting semiconductor manufacturing and am thrilled to see how Hoosiers will innovate in this field.\u201d\n\nBackground:\n\nThe Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) and Science Act is a nationwide network of facilities dedicated to strengthening domestic semiconductor manufacturing and provides funding for the creation of Microelectronics Commons regional innovation hubs.\n\nThe DoD\u2019s recent announcement awards $238 million in funding for the selected facilities, of which $32.9 million has been awarded to The Applied Research Institute in Bloomington.\n\nOn March 1st, Rep.
