The cost of the supplemental funding bill is fully offset by recisions from President Biden's so-called Inflation Reduction Act, specifically the enhanced funding for the IRS.\n\nISRAEL SECURITY SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT\n\nEnsures American military readiness by providing $4.4 billion to replenish domestic defense stockpiles.\n\nBolsters Israel\u2019s defensive capabilities and stockpiles of munitions critical to its continued efforts, specifically by providing:\n\n$4 billion to replenish Iron Dome and David\u2019s Sling missile defense systems.\n\n$3.5 billion in Foreign Military Financing for the procurement of advanced weapons systems and defense articles and services.\n\n$1.2 billion for the continued development of the Iron Beam system to counter short-range threats.\n\n$1 billion to support artillery and munitions production.\n\nSupports U.S. personnel and citizens by providing:\n\n$150 million for an enhanced security presence at the US Embassy.\n\n$50 million for the evacuation of U.S. citizens.\n\nRequires that the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State provide written reports to Congress detailing US security assistance provided to Israel to ensure accountability.\n\nThe funding is offset by recisions from the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, specifically Section 10301, which appropriated enhanced funding for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).\n\nSee the full text of the bill HERE.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-08T01:01:09Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://balderson.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=2571"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8851401507854462, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
