In Montgomery, folks are paying $3.09 per gallon, Enterprise $3.21, and Eufaula and Troy $3.29. At these prices, the average Alabamian will pay about $23 more each week on gasoline. That’s more than $100 each month, and almost $1,200 a year!

"Gas prices impact small businesses too. I’m a small business owner, and countless small businesses like mine that are highly dependent on gas prices are being hammered right now by high gas prices. Almost all goods and services must be delivered via gas at some point. So its basic economics. When the price of gas goes up, the price of everything goes up! That’s on top of near-record inflation being driven by out-of-control government spending.

"The insanity has to stop, or the pain at the pump will continue. Biden must end his war on American energy, and and we must defeat his socialist tax-and-spend agenda."

Background:

President Biden's arbitrary drilling moratoriums on federal lands will increase fees and royalties on onshore and offshore oil and gas production and continue to drive higher gas prices and could potentially destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs. Some parts of America have seen the price for a gallon of gas reach $7.59 a gallon. Yesterday, Moore spoke on the floor regarding Biden's energy crisis and the Democrats' proposal for a "Heat Your Home" tax.

Click HERE for the full clip of Rep. Moore’s remarks.

###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-06T20:24:51Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://barrymoore.house.gov/media/press-releases/rep-barry-moore-criticizes-biden-high-gas-prices-plaguing-americans
