This USDA grant is through the Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant program. The announcement was made by Congressman Barr at the Fleming County Fiscal Court with USDA Kentucky State Director Hilda Legg and Fleming County Sheriff Gary Kinder on hand for the occasion.\n\n\u201cLaw enforcement officers have one of the most difficult but critical jobs in the country. Fleming County will be able to upgrade its sheriff\u2019s vehicles because of this grant, allowing them to better safeguard the community they serve,\u201d said Congressman Barr. \u201cI supported Fleming County\u2019s grant request and I will always support law enforcement in Congress.\u201d\n\nCongressman Barr supported Fleming County\u2019s grant request through a letter of support to the USDA for their grant application. Congressman Barr also voted for the 2018 Farm Bill, which reauthorized rural development grant programs at the USDA, including the Community Facilities Grant program.
