Headquartered in Nicholasville for over five decades, Alltech currently employs hundreds of Kentuckians and is a leading company in the development of animal feed, meat, brewing, and distilling.\n\nThe federal grant from USDA comes from the Rural Business-Cooperative Service Fertilizer Production Expansion Program to support Alltech\u2019s planned Science Expansion Project in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Alltech will now move forward with the construction of a new 15,000-square-foot facility that will produce more than 66,000 gallons of biological fertilizer products per month.\n\n\u201cAlltech is a global leader in agricultural innovation and the largest employer in the city of Nicholasville,\u201d said Congressman Barr, who wrote a letter of support for the USDA grant application. \u201cExpanding Alltech\u2019s presence with this grant is a huge win for Jessamine County that wouldn\u2019t have happened without the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Rollins always looking out for our Kentucky agriculture. I want to commend Dr. Mark Lyons and the Alltech team for working with us in a multi-year process to get this grant.
