Secured through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program, the funding will enable SGVFD to replace outdated gear with new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBAs). Congressman Barr wrote a letter of support for this grant application.\n\nThis equipment will significantly enhance the department\u2019s ability to respond effectively to emergencies in Stamping Ground and throughout Scott County. The new equipment will allow SGVFD to meet critical public safety needs, improve response times, and better protect both residents and volunteer personnel during fires and other emergencies.\n\n\u201cOur firefighters put their lives on the line every single day to keep our communities safe,\u201d said Congressman Barr. \u201cSecuring this grant ensures that the Stamping Ground Volunteer Fire Department has the modern tools and equipment they need to respond quickly and safely when emergencies strike.
