His long history of service and unequal qualifications make him the perfect leader for our military and national defense. As General Austin and I discussed on the phone recently, we must work together to protect our people, our country, and our national security interests around the globe. I believe General Austin is the right person to do exactly that at this critical moment in time. That is why I urge the Senate to hold hearings and confirm General Austin as soon as possible so that he can get to work on day one.\"\n\n# # #", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-06-28T00:42:23Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://beatty.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/beatty-salutes-selection-for-secretary-of-defense"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8827969431877136, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
