Congressman Nick Begich, a proud co-sponsor of the legislation, praised the bill's passage as an important step toward restoring the public's trust in government.\n\n\u201cThe American people deserve to know that their elected representatives are serving the public interest, not their own financial interests,\u201d said Congressman Nick Begich. \u201cFrequent trading of individual stocks by Members of Congress has become an increasingly problematic issue and needs to end.
