The legislation, included alongside five other bipartisan public lands bills, would extend critical military land withdrawals in Alaska, New Mexico, and California for 25 years and ensure that America\u2019s Armed Forces maintain uninterrupted access to the premier training grounds and test ranges necessary to sustain the strongest military in the world.\n\n\u201cAlaska is the tip of the spear for America\u2019s defense,\u201d said Congressman Begich. \u201cOur military ranges in Alaska are strategically important for Arctic readiness, missile defense, and joint training with our allies.
