Bell. \u201cAs we head into another football season, I want to recognize the legacy of our 1960 football team and rightfully place them in history as national champions. These men represented the heart of Missouri. They worked tirelessly to earn their championship and record, and they deserve to be recognized for it. I\u2019m proud to introduce this resolution to recognize the 1960 national champion Mizzou Tigers.\n\nIn 1960, there was no official National Championship game. Instead, major polling organizations and selectors named teams as national champions.\n\nMissouri University\u2019s 1960 team, coached by Dan Devine, finished its season 11-0 after a Kansas win in the Big Eight was reversed due to their use of an ineligible player.
