Thompson (D-MS) announced the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance has awarded a FY 22 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, FY 22 Intellectual Property Enforcement Grant and FY 22 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant to Mississippi State and Local Agencies.\n\nThe Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program allows units of local government, including tribes, to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own state and local needs and conditions.
