{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://biggs.house.gov/media/press-releases/congressman-biggs-biden-harris-dhs-advertising-campaign-demonstrates-continued", "Congressman Biggs: Biden-Harris DHS Advertising Campaign Demonstrates Continued Pattern of Putting Illegal Aliens Over Americans", "2024-11-01", "2024", "2024-11", "Republican", "House", "AZ", "Andy Biggs", "B001302", "biggs.house.gov", "biggs", "https://biggs.house.gov/media/press-releases", "scraper", "Today, Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) introduced the No Funding for Illegal Migrant Billboards Act, legislation to prohibit federal funds from being used to publicly advertise the functions of the Department of Homeland Security\u2019s (DHS) Office of the Immigration Detention Ombudsman (OIDO).\n\nRecently, DHS-funded billboards advertising \u201crights\u201d for individuals in \u201cimmigration custody\u201d have been spotted in Arizona and Texas, drawing massive public scrutiny\u2014one U.S. Border Patrol agent called the billboards \u201ca slap in the face to all Americans.\u201d\n\nThese taxpayer-funded billboards are further evidence of the Biden-Harris Administration\u2019s preference for putting the interests of illegal aliens ahead of U.S. citizens.\n\nThe No Funding for Illegal Migrant Billboards Act would ensure that Americans\u2019 taxpayer dollars are not used to further erode the immigration system upon which the Biden-Harris Administration has already wreaked havoc.\n\nCongressman Biggs is also leading a letter to Michelle Bran\u00e9, Director of OIDO, demanding that she answer pressing questions relating to the billboards, such as the total amount spent on the billboards and the duration of the billboard campaign.\n\n\u201cThat DHS is spending taxpayer dollars to further exacerbate the Harris-Biden regime\u2019s border crisis is abhorrent and must not be tolerated,\u201d said Congressman Biggs.\n\n\u201cThis Administration has made a mockery of our immigration system for years. They have illegally undermined federal law at every turn, creating pathway after pathway for illegal entry without the authority to do so.
