Under Secretary Miguel Cardona\u2019s leadership, ED has exhibited a concerning pattern of levying outrageous fines against Christian universities such as Grand Canyon University (GCU), Liberty University (LU), and Ashland University (AU).\n\nIn April of this year, Secretary Cardona openly discussed his desire to shut down GCU\u2014the nation\u2019s largest Christian university\u2014with Members of the House Appropriations Committee\u2019s Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies.\n\n\u201cCongress can no longer sit idly by while the Biden-Harris Administration\u2019s weaponized federal government targets conservative and Christian organizations,\u201d said Congressman Biggs.\n\n\u201cThe ED\u2019s unchecked bureaucratic power must be reined in through congressional oversight.
