Also, this bill will help stop the harassment of American citizens by preventing those 87,000 IRS agents from ever being hired. That\u2019s conservative governance at its finest: more freedom, less government\u2014and we are just getting started.\u201d\n\nBackground:\n\nLast year, House Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act, which authorized hiring 87,000 new IRS agents, doubling the size of the IRS.
