In fiscal year 2023, Congresswoman Boebert worked to secure $1.85 billion for community health centers in an appropriations request signed into law.\n\nCongresswoman Lauren Boebert stated, \u201cI am thrilled that the Pueblo Community Health Center received an over $5.1 million grant. These funds will be used to improve public health and serve the Pueblo community. I am working diligently to secure resources that will improve the lives of people across Colorado\u2019s Third District.\u201d\n\nBackground:\n\nIn FY 2023, Congresswoman Boebert secured 22 appropriations requests that were signed into law, including $1.85 billion for community health centers that provide medical care to rural communities. While the Congresswoman could not ultimately vote for the appropriations package due to Democrat poison pills included in the legislation, she worked in a bipartisan fashion with members of the House Appropriations Committee to ensure that these provisions were signed into law. Then Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee Kay Granger gave Congresswoman Boebert credit for her \u201cindividual requests that were included in H.R. 2617.\u201d\n\nCongresswoman Boebert is a consistent advocate for rural healthcare. In FY 2022, she secured $1.74 billion for community health centers. She also worked with state Rep. Matt Soper to successfully secure Sole Community Hospital Provider Status for Delta Health.
