This unnecessary CDC rule has made everyday life so much harder for many people: from tearing apart family reunifications to discouraging companies from doing business with America. I have heard from so many people who have been hurt by this mandate, including: the mother of a Dutch tourist who died on the Appalachian trail who was unable to come to the United States to collect her son\u2019s body; a Canadian man who has been unable to visit his fianc\u00e9e on American soil for the past three years; a man working for a company in the United Kingdom who has been unable to travel to the United States for business meetings; and a family in New Hampshire with Canadian in-laws who have been unable to have Canadian family members visit for Christmas in the United States since COVID started.\u201d\n\nBackground:\n\nCongresswoman Boebert\u2019s bipartisan amendment requiring that the CDC produce a report detailing how many international travelers were denied entry into the United States under Joe Biden\u2019s vaccine mandate passed the House 253-168, with 38 Democrats voting in favor of it.\n\nDespite Joe Biden stating that \u201cthe pandemic is over\u201d, he has refused to lift the vaccine mandate for international travelers arriving legally to the United States. However, he has never required a vaccine mandate for the over four million illegal aliens who have walked across our southern border freely under his watch.\n\nThis draconian mandate puts America out of step with the rest of the civilized world.
