A similar resolution has been introduced in the House by U.S. Reps. Earl Blumenauer and Suzanne Bonamici.\n\nThe Thorns\u2019 2-0 victory on Oct. 29 in the NWSL championship game over Kansas City made the Portland franchise the first in league history to win three titles.\n\n\u201cThe Thorns\u2019 triumph is an inspiration to us all,\u201d Bonamici said. \u201cWinning a third NWSL Championship title -- the most in league history -- is a remarkable achievement, and I look forward to continuing to support these exceptional women on the field and off.
