Without an extension, funding for these programs is due to lapse on Sunday.\n\n\u201cFour weeks ago, Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats claimed that they just needed a little more time to finalize their socialist tax and spending spree bill,\u201d said Bost. \u201cYet a month later, they have yet to get their house in order and have neglected other issues, like funding for these critical highway programs, in the process. These short-term program extensions, while necessary because of the Democrats\u2019 incompetence, are not how we should be governing.
