It is deeply concerning that some of these gatherings have put on display hatred and vitriol against the Jewish people. For example, the New York City Democratic Socialists of America chapter gathered in Times Square the day after Hamas’s initial attack, celebrating it as a ‘resistance,’ with one protestor saying he ‘might do the same thing because there’s nothing left to lose.’ Stanford University suspended one of its professors after students reported him shamefully defending Hamas as ‘freedom fighters’ and later forcing Jewish students to stand alone in the corner of the room to signify Palestinian life in Gaza. These protests even made their way to the halls of Congress as Palestinian supporters flooded the Cannon House Office Building rotunda falsely claiming Palestinians were being ‘ethnically cleansed.’”

Read the full letter here.

Cosigners include: Representatives Andy Ogles (R-TN), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), and Clay Higgins (R-LA).", 1, "2026-04-07T14:30:38Z", "2026-04-07T14:34:08Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://brecheen.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=221
