Today, U.S. Representative Ted Budd (NC-13) officially announced that he will vote no on the articles of impeachment against President Trump after the House Judiciary Committee sent them to the floor. \r\nRep. Budd said in a statement:\r\nI will be voting against the articles of impeachment. From start to finish House Democrats ran a show trial against President Trump. They brought forward no witnesses who were directed by the president to engage in any kind of bribe, extortion scheme, or other poll-tested crime House Democrats decided to pursue. Even Speaker Pelosi admitted that her caucus had their eyes on impeachment for a couple years.' Sadly, this whole inquiry has been purely political. The American people deserve a Congress that is focused on issues that directly impact their lives, not distracted by politically-driven charades.\r\n    \r\n  \r\n  \r\n  \r\n    \r\n      f \r\n      t \r\n      #\r\n      e", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://budd.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=717"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.119252061471343, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
