Burchett. \"We\u2019re spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on art for embassies when our country is $33 trillion in debt, and that needs to end today.\u201d\n\nThe State Department has previously spent:\n\n$420,000 for a statue in Montenegro\n\n$350,000 for a wall mosaic in Brazil\n\n$290,000 for a statue in Kenya\n\n$250,000 for a painting in Guatemala City\n\n$250,000 for a piece in Mexico City", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-08T00:37:48Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://burchett.house.gov/media/press-releases/burchett-amendment-prohibit-funding-art-embassies-included-house-spending"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9361882694065571, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
