(04/30/2026) -- Today, Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) introduced the \u201cVeterans Protection from Fraud Act.\u201d This bill would establish a sentencing enhancement of up to ten years in prison for someone convicted of committing or conspiring to commit fraud that purposefully targeted a veteran. This bill was also introduced in the Senate by Senator Cortez Masto and Senator Budd.\n\n\u201cVeterans put their lives on the line for us at home and abroad.
