This bill amends the Clean Air Act to prohibit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from granting waivers that limit the use or sale of new cars with gas-powered engines.\n\nThis bill was brought to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in response to California\u2019s Air Resource Board\u2019s decision to effectively ban the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035.\n\n\u201cElectric vehicles are out of most Americans\u2019 price range, and they have a whole bunch of problems that gas-powered cars don\u2019t have,\u201d said Rep. Burchett. \u201cThe government has no business passing regulations that effectively force people to buy cars that are more expensive and less reliable. We need to leave those choices to the buyers.\u201d\n\nAccording to J.D.
