(August 12, 2022) \u2013 Today, U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) voted against the Democrats\u2019 Inflation Reduction Act.\n\n\u201cYou never reduce burdens \u2013 or inflation \u2013 by increasing taxes $745 billion. You simply create more government that will never go away,\u201d said Rep. Burchett. \u201cDemocrats need to learn a lesson or two from Tennessee, where we reduced taxes and regulations and now have record surpluses and thriving businesses.\u201d\n\nThis 755-page bill includes $745 billion in new spending and will increase the United States\u2019 deficit by $146 billion.
