Parents and fair-goers deserve full peace of mind knowing that we\u2019ve done everything possible to ensure no one experiences a terrifying accident while they\u2019re just trying to have summer fun.\u201d\n\nCongressman Carson\u2019s H.R. 1855, the National Amusement Park Ride and Safety Act, was introduced earlier this year. The legislation would:\n\nEnable federal investigations into ride accidents\n\nMandate corrective action plans for identified defects\n\nImprove safety training for ride operators\n\nEstablish a national database to track accidents and mechanical issues\n\nIndiana is home to two amusement parks with rollercoasters and many county fairs.
