{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://case.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=837", "Case Announces $61 Million Of Additional Federal Funding For Hawai\u2019i Transportation Programs", "2022-04-06", "2022", "2022-04", "Democrat", "House", "HI", "Ed Case", "C001055", "case.house.gov", "case", "https://case.house.gov/news/documentquery.aspx?DocumentTypeID=27&Page=20", "scraper", "(Washington, DC) \u2013 U.S. Congressman Ed Case (HI-01) \u2013 U.S. Congressman Ed Case (HI-01), a member of the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations, announced that Hawai\u2019i will receive $61,101,570 from the U.S. Department of Transportation\u2019s Federal Transit Administration.\n\n\u201cThe funds will enable transportation agencies throughout our state to buy new buses, address their repair backlogs, modernize their fleets, and transition to new technologies to address the climate crisis,\u201d said Case.\n\n\u201cThis is just the latest of many disbursements to Hawai\u2019i from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Package (BIP), the largest federal reinvestment ever in our backbone infrastructure across the country,\u201d said Case. \u201cBIP will eventually deliver some $3 billion to our state for roads and bridges, water infrastructure, climate resilience projects, access to the Internet and much more.\u201d\n\nThe first round of funds from the BIP in December amounted to $49 million for Hawaii\u2019s airports. That was followed in January with $339 million of funding over five years to repair and maintain the state\u2019s bridges and culverts.\n\nLast November, Case voted for the historic $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Package which included $20 billion to support the country\u2019s transit projects.
