But they appear to be an exhaustive and objective review of exactly what happened and why, and a credible and realistic plan to achieve defueling and move to closure of Red Hill as soon as can be achieved safely and completely.\n\n\u201cThe Command Investigation details a series of \u2018cascading failures\u2019 that should never have happened, and there are many painful lessons to be learned. There must also be specific accountability for those failures.\n\n\u201cThe Hawai\u2019i Department of Health must approve the Defueling Plan and oversee implementation throughout to assure that our drinking water and public health are fully protected.\n\n\u201cI will continue to oversee the federal agencies responsible for all of these actions, in particular the Department of Defense, assist in coordinating among federal, state and local efforts, and keep our community fully informed.\n\n\u201cThrough my U.S. House Committee on Appropriations and otherwise, I will also continue to assure the billions of dollars of federal funding that will be required.\u201d\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-06T18:13:54Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://case.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=921"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.7652859203517437, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
