Information has since been released from the Department of Justice that two people were criminally charged. However, it has been reported that more than 140 people were detained during a chaotic scene on the Northside of San Antonio. Still, there has been no information provided on the whereabouts of approximately 138 individuals.\n\n\u201cWe demand answers regarding the raid conducted on Sunday, November 16th in the early morning hours near the intersection of Basse Road and San Pedro Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. After attempting to get pertinent information from your respective offices, we are addressing this letter to all of you pursuant to our responsibilities as congressional representatives of the area and pursuant to our duty to conduct rigorous oversight of federal and state activities. Most importantly, we write out of our obligation to ensure transparency for Texans and people across the country,\u201d the lawmakers wrote.\n\n\u201cDue to the numerous reports this year on agents of Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and other agencies overstepping their legal authority, we are extremely concerned about the legality of the detainments and the due process of the detainees. Any operation of this scale demands full transparency regarding the basis for the raid, which agencies participated, and the status of those detained,\u201d the lawmakers concluded.\n\nDue to the lack of publicly available information and the refusal to provide clarity, the lawmakers request answers to the following questions no later than November 24, 2025.\n\nWhat was the evidence provided to a judge to sign a warrant?\n\nWhat were the parameters of the warrant executed?\n\nWhat federal, state, and local entities were on site during this raid?\n\nHow many people were detained during the raid?\n\nWhat are the nationalities of the people detained?\n\nWhere are people that are in custody being held?\n\nWhat crimes are the detained accused of?\n\nWere there any minors that were detained? If so, how many?\n\nWhat is the immigration status of the individuals detained?\n\nWhat is the rationale for targeting these individuals in the raid?\n\nProvide information on how many of those arrested had previously received a stay of removal, order of supervision or other form of prosecutorial discretion pursuant to prosecutorial discretion guidelines in place prior to January 2017.\n\nAmong individuals taken into custody, how many were collateral pickups (i.e. individuals encountered during the raid who were not intended targets).\n\nWhen did the underlying investigation that led to this raid open?\n\nWhat is the goal of the investigation? Please provide any quantitative or qualitative goals.\n\nAre there expected future operations in the district or surrounding areas connected to this investigation?\n\nOf the people detained, what percentage of people have a prior criminal history?
