Carper Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2024 (S.4367). The bill previously passed the Senate and was approved by the House of Representatives by a vote of 399-18 and is now headed to the President\u2019s desk, where it is expected to be signed into law.\n\nWRDA is a legislative package that is passed every two-years to authorize the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works Program to carry out critical infrastructure projects that improve our nation\u2019s ports and harbors, inland waterways navigation, storm and flood mitigation, ecosystem conservation and restoration efforts, and host of other water infrastructure projects. Included in this legislative package are several of Ciscomani\u2019s provisions to authorize construction of water infrastructure projects for the City of Tucson, the Town of Sahuarita, and Pinal County.\n\nAs part of this legislative package, Ciscomani secured:\n\nA $50 million dollar increase in authorization of funding for the Western Rural Water Program, a key program that funds essential water projects in Arizona.\n\nAuthorization for the City of Tucson Southlands Recycled Water Loop: This project will allow the city to create a new reclaimed water facility and help reduce the cities reliance on groundwater and Colorado River Water.\n\nExpedited construction for flood control project construction in Pinal County at the Lower Santa Cruz River.\n\nAuthorization for the Town of Sahuarita for Drainage Improvements to help them combat flooding issues.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-07T22:13:55Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://ciscomani.house.gov/media/press-releases/ciscomani-celebrates-passage-his-provisions-water-resources-development-act"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.9519142806529999, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
