The project also calls for two additional lanes to be created under the interstate, combining the on and off ramps with the frontage roads and extending Tangerine Farms Road to connect with the interchange.\n\nThe $3 million preliminarily secured for Marana\u2019s traffic interchange improvements is part of 20 Community Project Funding requests totaling $42.7 million that Ciscomani has advocated for in this year\u2019s House appropriations bills to ensure communities across Arizona\u2019s Sixth Congressional District have the resources they need to thrive. This funding is included in the Fiscal Year 2027 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations bill, which Ciscomani voted to advance out of the Appropriations committee.\n\n\"I was pleased to meet with Marana leadership to discuss federal funding preliminarily secured for the Marana Traffic Interchange. The Town of Marana\u2019s transportation system faces unique pressures due to increasing development and a growing population. This $3 million in funding would aid the flow of traffic and public safety by improving efficiency of the town\u2019s infrastructure,\" said Rep. Ciscomani. \"As Arizona\u2019s sole appropriator in either the House or Senate, I am committed to delivering real results through critical federal funding for communities throughout our district.
