My office remains focused on passing a long-term reauthorization that protects affordability, improves floodplain mapping, and prioritizes pre-disaster mitigation. The House of Representatives passed a long-term, 5-year NFIP reauthorization, which included excellent reforms, in November of 2017. Since then, the Senate has failed to pass the House bill or produce their own long-term NFIP reauthorization and reform bill. I support the continuance of NFIP.
