Read that letter here. The entire Louisiana delegation sent a subsequent letter to President Trump on October 9. Read that letter here.\n\nCongressman Higgins issued the following statement:\n\n\u201cI\u2019m grateful that President Trump granted our request and authorized FEMA to cover 100% of the Public Assistance costs in response to Hurricane Laura. State and local government resources have been stretched to the limit.
