The investment comes through the FCC\u2019s Rural Digital Opportunity Fund and will expand access to nearly 176,000 unserved homes and businesses over the next 10 years.\n\nThe announcement includes more than $33 million for Louisiana\u2019s 3rd District, impacting nearly 20,000 homes and businesses.\n\nAcadia Parish \u2013 $4,666,219\n\nCalcasieu Parish \u2013 $4,612,805\n\nCameron Parish \u2013 $881,896\n\nIberia Parish \u2013 $821,790\n\nJeff Davis Parish \u2013 $10,242,111\n\nLafayette Parish \u2013 $422,720\n\nSt. Landry Parish \u2013 $6,961,720\n\nSt. Martin Parish \u2013 $1,237,039\n\nSt. Mary Parish \u2013 $1,859,845\n\nVermilion Parish \u2013 $1,304,399\n\nCongressman Higgins issued the following statement:\n\n\u201cAccess to high-speed broadband service has become critical for everyday life.
