A timeline of these communications and other hurricane recovery efforts is available here.\n\nThe White House\u2019s request includes $2.3 billion for the Community Development Block Grant \u2013 Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program, $275 million for the Emergency Watershed Protection Program, $9 billion for the Wildfire and Hurricane Indemnity Program, $100 million for Reclamation Projects to Address Western Drought, and $2.6 billion for Federal Highway Emergency Relief.\n\nCongressman Higgins issued the following statement:\n\n\u201cI\u2019m uplifted to see the White House recognize Southwest Louisiana\u2019s long-term recovery needs through a formal request for supplemental disaster relief. We have worked for many months to highlight Louisiana\u2019s recovery needs, and this is a major step toward delivering much-needed grant funding in response to Hurricanes Laura and Delta. This is in addition to the over $1.4 billion that has already been delivered for immediate response costs.
