The reimbursement is made at a 100% federal cost-share.\n\n$2,829,193.39 to Southwest Louisiana Electric Membership Corp. (SLEMCO) for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Delta. The reimbursement is made at a 75% federal cost-share.\n\n$1,496,034.23 to the Louisiana Department of Public Safety (State Police) for emergency protective measures in response to the Severe Winter Storm. The reimbursement is made at a 75% federal cost-share.\n\nAll funding will be delivered to the State of Louisiana. The state is responsible for disbursing the funds to each sub-recipient.\n\nOn September 17, 2021, Congressman Higgins pressed FEMA to expedite the review and approval of Cameron Parish\u2019s Public Assistance (PA) applications as well as address lingering issues with site inspections. That letter is available here.\n\nCongressman Higgins issued the following statement:\n\n\u201cWe continue to push FEMA for a more efficient review and approval process for public assistance reimbursements. Getting these resources to state and local entities promptly is critical to the overall recovery effort.
