The legislation also provides emergency funding to lower energy costs for working families, supplemental funding to support Ukraine\u2019s fight for freedom, and disaster relief for communities impacted by wildfires, floods, hurricanes, and other natural disasters.\n\n\u201cAlthough I never enjoy voting for a continuing resolution, I know that the American people would enjoy a government shutdown significantly less,\u201d said Congressman Cleaver. \u201cAs Democrats and Republicans in the House and Senate continue to negotiate a year-long appropriations package, I believe passing this legislation to keep the government open and essential services up-and-running is the right decision.
