As a member of the Judiciary Committee, I also hope to bring a fresh perspective that ensures the Constitution, and in turn, the rights of the American people are vigorously defended within our intelligence community.\u201d\n\nCreated in 1977, HPSCI is charged with oversight of the United States Intelligence Community\u2014which includes the intelligence and intelligence-related activities of the following eighteen elements of the U.S. Government\u2014and the Military Intelligence Program.\n\nCongressman Cline will continue to serve on the House Committee on Appropriations, the House Committee on Judiciary, and the House Committee on the Budget.\n\nCongressman Ben Cline represents the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia. He previously was an attorney in private practice and served both as an assistant prosecutor and as a Member of the Virginia House of Delegates.
