Clyburn announced that the Department of Health and Human Services has awarded more than $15 million to 21 community health centers in South Carolina. These Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awards will be used to fund capital improvements and construction costs for facilities in communities disproportionally affected by COVID-19. These funds, made available through the American Rescue Plan legislation passed by Democrats and signed by President Biden in March, will be crucial to improving South Carolina\u2019s healthcare infrastructure and will help ensure that all South Carolinians have access to state-of-the-art medical facilities.\n\n\u201cThese resources championed by President Biden and Congressional Democrats are an investment in making health care more accessible and affordable for all,\u201d said Congressman James E.
