This severely misguided determination completely disregards our community\u2019s position, plans, and thoughtful proposals. I urge the USPS to prioritize Northeast Georgians\u2019 needs over unelected bureaucrats\u2019 demands by returning to its previous decision to relocate the Green Street Post Office.\u201d\n\nBackground\n\nSince 1967, the Green Street Post Office has provided both delivery and retail operations for Gainesville residents. However, this location quickly posed traffic and congestion concerns, leading many residents to call for the relocation of the facility. In 1975, the Gainesville City Commission passed a resolution requesting the USPS to consider moving the post office.\n\nNow, the USPS has reversed its decision, confirming to Rep.
