Kennedy in 1963.\n\u201cDespite the 1992 passage of a Congressionally mandated October 26, 2017, deadline requiring the President of the United States to make a determination about what documents can and should be released to the public regarding President John F. Kennedy\u2019s assassination, the current president failed to comply,\u201d Cohen said.\nThe president\u2019s failure to execute this requirement raises long-held concerns that the U.S. government continues to withhold critical information about the events in Dallas 54 years ago this month, Cohen said.\nPresident George H.W. Bush signed the JFK Records Collection Act into law 25 years ago, setting the deadline that expired last month.
