The City of Covington will receive $3,743,581 to build a multi-purpose facility that can double as a Community Safe Room adjacent to the Covington Police Station. Its maximum occupancy would be 736.\n\nTipton County will receive $299,171 and Munford will receive $179,606 for weather warning and alert systems.\n\nCongressman Cohen made the following statement:\n\n\u201cTipton County has taken it on the chin recently with severe weather.
