The funding for the grant came from the Inflation Reduction Act that Congressman Cohen voted for.\n\nCongressman Cohen made the following statement:\n\n\u201cShelby County has a well-known history of air pollution in its low-income neighborhoods, illustrated recently by the threat caused by ethylene oxide at a plant that has now been closed.
