Thomas Goebel, an assistant professor at the University\u2019s Center for Earthquake Research and Information, will receive grants of $425,000 and $50,000 for seismic research projects. Jessica Jennings, an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, will receive $50,000 to study improved tissue regeneration.\n\nCongressman Cohen made the following statement:\n\n\u201cI congratulate Professors Goebel and Jennings, and the University, on being awarded these prestigious National Science Foundation grants.
